Rhodochrosite

Description:

A piece I never thought I’d have. I really think the shop made a mistake pricing this. It has a small cleave on the side crystal at the bottom and the upper lower side crystals. But most of the terminations are clean. And it has good luster, somewhat gemmy, and very good cherry red color. It’s rhodochrosite! From South Africa!! What more can you ask for? Label just says SW Africa, but it looks like N’chwaning mine in South Africa to me.
